Louisiana Refundable Tax Credit
New law gives homeowner and Apartment owners a tax credit of 50% of the first
$25,000 of costs for a solar energy system.($12,500) This credit can be used
over 10 years or given as a nice refund check when you file your state taxes!!

This is in addition to the Federal Tax Credit!
Residential customers receive a Federal Tax Credit equal to 30% of the cost of
the solar energy system. The excess credit is carried forward for as many years as
the customer desires.(see link below for additional information) Business
customers receive a Federal Tax Credit equal to 30% of the cost of the solar
energy system. The excess credit must be used within 2 accounting years.(see
link below for additional information)
